    Wednesday, July 2
    • Rugby Ramblers go on an evening four mile walk around Barby, meet at the Arnold Arms, Barby at 7.30pm, telephone Graham 01788 814597.


    Friday, July 4
    • The Jellyheads play at The Bull, Sheep Street, Rugby from 8 'til late, free entry.
    • 2Koustics play at the Squirrel, Church Street, Rugby starting at 9pm with a wide range of music from blues and jazz to the Beatles and beyond.


    Sunday, July 6
    • Lutterworth Ramblers go on a Grade C walk around Tilton-on-the-Hill, meet at 9am in Lutterworth Town Hall car park, telephone Barbara or Peter on 01455 553254.
    • A Village Summer Songs Of Praise in St Peter's Church, Ashby Parva at 6.30pm. If you have a favourite hymn or reading, or would like to take part by offering to read, sing or play an instrument, call Mike Chapman on 01455 209772 and we will do out best to make it happen.
    • Newton In Bloom with Open Gardens, Scarecrows, Garage Sales and a Treasure Hunt, maps £2 at the village hall from 1.30pm, cream teas from 2pm to 5pm, everyone welcome.
    • Open Gardens at West Haddon from 2pm to 6pm, admission £3.50 children free.


    Tuesday, July 8
    • The Bearcat Blues Band make a welcome return to The Merchants Inn, Little Church Street at 9pm, this five piece band play the music of blues legends and specialise in deep rooted blues with a feelin', admission free.


    Thursday, July 10
    • Lutterworth Evening WI meeting with a talk by Tony Noble on 'Life On The Royal Yacht Britannia' at 7.30pm in the United Reform Church, George Street, Lutterworth.


    Friday, July 11
    • 60's, 70's and 80's Party featuring Disco Inferno 2K with fancy dress optional at the Benn Hall, from 8pm 'til late, tickets only £7 from 01788 541516.
    • Bilton Silver Band Charity Concert organised by the Rotary Club of Rugby Saturday Breakfast, with guest soloists playing a wide variety of popular music, at 7.30pm for 8pm start at the Railway Club, Hillmorton Road, Rugby, licensed bar available, admission £6. In aid of Bilton Silver Band and Rotary supported charities.


    Saturday, July 12
    • Open gardens event in Bilton, 25 gardens will be open to the public from 1pm to 5pm, admission £3.50, children under 10 free if accompanied by an adult, at St Mark's Church there will be a plant stall with plants donated by the hard working gardeners. All proceeds from the event are to go to the church building fund.
    • Open Gardens within easy walking distance of St Mark's Church in Alwyn Road and Lime Tree Avenue, from 1pm to 5pm with a refreshment stall, a plant stall, an ice cream stall, a prize draw and children's games, entrance £3.50 per person with children U10 free, £3 if purchased in advance, programmes available from early July.


    Sunday, July 13
    • Cold Ashby Bowls Club Car Boot Sale at A5199 and A14 junction 1, gates open at 7.30am with antiques, plants, collectables, toys, bric-a-brac and lots more, free car parking, pitch fees: cars and light vans £6, transit vans £11.
    • Lutterworth Ramblers go on a Grade B walk around Froghall Wharf with a trip on the Churnet Valley Railway, meet at 9am in Lutterworth Town Hall car park, telephone Eric and June 0121 6056781.

    • Friends of Paddox School annual Summer Fete, 1pm to 3pm, Paddox School Oak site. Attractions include bouncy castles, welly wanging, beat the goalie, Pimms tent, art sale, tombola. Entrance is free.

    • Lutterworth Ramblers go on a Grade C walk around Foston, meet at 9.30am in Lutterworth Town Hall car park, telephone Kathy 01455 289081 or Helen 01455 282289.
    • Antique Fair at Rogers Hall, Deering Road, Hillmorton, 10am to 3pm.


    Sunday, July 27
